About Marty Gallanter:

After appearing on the pilot episode of Prime Time Live, Diane Sawyer called Marty Gallanter’s writing “compelling.” And we at Dead End Street® certainly agree. His articles have graced the pages of the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Baltimore Sun, Parade and TV Guide. He’s appeared on Saturday Night with Connie Chung and he’s written for more than one hundred Jewish-American publications. Mr. Gallanter regularly appears on radio and television, and lectures at universities throughout the country. He also writes a syndicated newspaper column about the Internet.

Mr. Gallanter has been a publicist, writer and fundraiser for more than twenty years. He is currently Director of Development at the Washington Pavilion of the Arts and Science, and before that worked as the Dakota State University Foundation Director of Development, Director of Fundraising for the Legal Aid Society of New York, and for the United Jewish Appeal.

Dead End Street® currently offers Mr. Gallanter’s highly-regarded, warmly-received title A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS, which is currently being adapted for the big screen by Caldera / De Fanti Entertainment, LLC. In addition, Dead End Street® plans to release his newest novel – The Dusk of Aquarius – in 2003.

A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS revolves around Suzanne Rosewell, the youngest female partner in the history of her prestigious Wall Street law firm. She’s a strong, driven woman with the will to succeed and a quick start that has placed her ahead of the curve. Then she meets Elias Garner, an enigmatic black Jazz musician who carries an ancient golden trumpet and represents the even more furtive “Chairman” (whom we learn heads the most powerful corporation on earth).

Elias explains that God has always placed among us thirty-six righteous people – each of whom “knows the divine will” and all of whom must be accounted for if humanity is to redeem itself. Five are missing from the Chairman’s list and Suzanne is asked to set aside her career to search for them. If she is unsuccessful, it appears that the world cannot exist beyond the sunrise.

A LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS is available everywhere fine books are sold.

About Michael J. Vaughn:

Michael J. Vaughn has worked as an opera and theater critic for the past fifteen years. His first novel, Frozen Music, was published in 1995, and his poetry has appeared in more than 40 literary journals. Dead End Street® currently offers two titles by Mr. Vaughn – FROSTED GLASS and GABRIELLA’S VOICE, plus the soon-to-be-released, widely anticipated The Legendary Dukes.

FROSTED GLASS begins with a painful break-up/break-down that chases high-tech marketing wiz Sandy Lowiltry from her Silicon Valley home. She comes to rest on the Oregon Coast, where she seeks solace in the opera-themed sanctuary of the Hotel Bel Canto and the arms of a handsome eccentric who spends his days combing the beach for sea glass.

Sandy soon learns what the tourist ladies already know – it's easy to fall for Frosted Glass Man. Besides great sex and alarmingly intricate campsite cuisine, Frosty offers do-it-yourself mythologies that would melt even the coldest heart. But will it be enough to quiet the whisper of ambition, the voice inside Sandy’s head that chides her for settling? Will she really leave behind Silicon Valley for love in such a strange package?

GABRIELLA’S VOICE follows fifty-year-old Bill Harness on a strange but seemingly benign journey as he rambles across the country in an old Pontiac and anonymously leaves large checks with promising young opera singers. His fuel, however, is sorrow, and it isn’t until he arrives on a small island outside of Seattle and befriends Gabriella Compton, a phenomenally talented soprano, that he is able to address the three great tragedies of his vocally gifted family.

FROSTED GLASS and GABRIELLA’S VOICE are available everywhere fine books are sold.

About Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti:

Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti, a Pittsburgh native, is a full time freelance writer with a strict dedication to her craft. Her published literary works include young adult, horror and poetry. She attributes her creativity to “love of the unknown, and the whisper beyond her shoulder.”

In addition to her full-time, seven-day-a-week writing schedule, Mrs. Druga-Marchetti works extensively with youth literacy programs and participates in a local writers’ group that she founded. She is also a musician, teaches weekly classes on the paranormal, and, according to a popular Pittsburgh radio station, is one of the city’s “top psychic readers.”

Dead End Street® currently offers Mrs. Druga-Marchetti’s blockbuster tale THE SHROUD. The follow-up to THE SHROUD is currently in the works and is also under contract to Dead End Street.

THE SHROUD revolves around the Vatican’s attempt to divert attention from its priesthood pedophilia scandals by allowing Doctor Marcus Leon to extract DNA from blood trapped in the Shroud of Turin. Dr. Leon then ignites a firestorm of controversy by announcing his plan to clone the image upon the Shroud – that of the man known by history as Jesus of Nazareth.

The experiment is a success and the masses turn to embrace the clone as the encapsulation of Christ, failing to recognize that science can replicate the body but cannot touch the soul. Devoid of this essential spirit, the clone is nothing more than a directionless vessel in need of a captain – a position quickly assumed by the Anti-Christ, whose strength grows as the geographically fragmented gatherings of “non-believers” are killed.

Can Dr. Leon marshal the forces in time to save the world? Can the Anti-Christ be stopped?

THE SHROUD is available everywhere fine books are sold.
