Biblical
Bash Marks THE SHROUD'S Release

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE HOQUIAM,
WA – 27 August 2002: Dead End Street® is pleased to
announce that more than 100 people filled Pittsburgh’s famous
eatery The Italian Grill on Saturday, August 24th, for THE SHROUD’s
biblical-themed release party. Attendees were encouraged to come
dressed as their favorite biblical figure, with prizes awarded
for the best Christ clone. Among those in attendance were prominent
members of the Presbyterian and Catholic clergy.
About Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti:
Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti, a Pittsburgh native, is a full time
freelance writer with a very strict dedication to her craft. Her
published literary works include young adult, horror and poetry.
She attributes her creativity to the "love of the unknown,
and the whisper beyond her shoulder."
In addition to her full-time, seven-day-a-week writing schedule,
Mrs. Druga-Marchetti works extensively with youth literacy programs
and participates in a local writers’ group that she founded.
She is also a musician, teaches weekly classes on the paranormal,
and, according to a popular Pittsburgh radio station, is one of
the city’s “top psychic readers.”
Dead End Street currently offers Mrs. Druga-Marchetti's blockbuster
tale THE SHROUD. The follow-up to THE SHROUD is currently in the
works and is also under contract to Dead End Street.
About THE SHROUD:
THE SHROUD revolves around the Vatican’s attempt to divert
attention from its priesthood pedophilia scandals by allowing Doctor
Marcus Leon to extract DNA from blood trapped in the Shroud of
Turin. Dr. Leon then ignites a firestorm of controversy by announcing
his plan to clone the image upon the Shroud – that of the
man known by history as Jesus of Nazareth.
The experiment is a success and the masses turn to embrace the
clone as the encapsulation of Christ, failing to recognize that
science can replicate the body but cannot touch the soul. Devoid
of this essential spirit, the clone is nothing more than a directionless
vessel in need of a captain – a position quickly assumed
by the Anti-Christ, whose strength grows as the geographically
fragmented gatherings of “non-believers” are killed.
Can Dr. Leon marshal the forces in time to save the world? Can
the Anti-Christ be stopped?
THE SHROUD is available everywhere fine books are sold.
