March 2002: Dead End Street® is pleased to announce that
authors Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti and Michael J. Vaughn were
featured
authors and panelists at the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Emerging
Literary Voices writer conference on March 22, 23 and 24, 2002.
With presentations by thirty-seven authors of both regional and
national scope, the conference attracted significant local media
attention and hundreds of attendees. Ms. Druga-Marchetti's reading
was so successful, in fact, that Pittsburgh Tribune Review is
planning a feature column on her upcoming release - THE SHROUD.

beginning to receive."
Druga-Marchetti and Vaughn capped off the three-day event by performing
a duet on Mustang Sally for a raucous, appreciative crowd. Photos

About Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti:
Jacqueline Druga-Marchetti, a Pittsburgh native, is a full time
freelance writer with a very strict dedication to her craft. Her
published literary works include young adult, horror and poetry.
She attributes her creativity to the "love of the unknown,
and the whisper beyond her shoulder."
Aside from a full-time, seven-day-a-week writing schedule, Jacqueline
works extensively with youth literacy programs and participates
in a local writers' group that she founded. She also is a musician,
teaches weekly classes on the paranormal, and, according to a popular
Pitsburgh radio station, is one of the city's "top psychic
readers."
THE SHROUD is Jacqueline's first work for Dead End Street.
About Michael J. Vaughn:
The author has worked as an opera and theater critic for the past
fifteen years. His first novel, Frozen Music, was published in
1995, and his poetry has appeared in more than 40 literary journals.
He lives in Tacoma, Washington, where he writes a book column for
the Tacoma News-Tribune.
