Dead End Street Publications Signs Marty Gallanter!

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE HOQUIAM, WA – March 29, 1999: Dead End Street Publications is pleased to announce the signing of highly regarded newspaper writer Marty Gallanter. The CEO of Dead End Street Publications comments, “Mr. Gallanter is a gifted writer with the ability to draw the reader in and make him reconsider his worldview without seeming condescending. His first book for us is a richly textured novel [A Little Lower Than Angels] that details a young Wall Street attorney’s search for righteousness. We are excited to have him on the Dead End Street and hope to have the text available in fall 1999.”

About the Author:

After appearing on the pilot episode of Prime Time Live, Diane Sawyer called Marty Gallanter’s writing “compelling.” And we on the Dead End Street certainly agree. His articles have graced the pages of the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Baltimore Sun, Parade and TV Guide. He’s appeared on Saturday Night with Connie Chung. And he’s written for more than one hundred Jewish-American publications. Gallanter regularly appears on radio and television, and often lectures at universities throughout the country. He also writes a syndicated newspaper column about the Internet.

Gallanter has been a publicist, writer and fundraiser for more than twenty years. Prior to his acceptance of the Dakota State University Foundation Directorship, Gallanter worked as the Director of Fundraising for the Legal Aid Society of New York and the United Jewish Appeal.

About the Company:

Dead End Street Publications is a multimedia publishing firm founded in 1997. Based upon the fundamental precept that more speech is preferable to less, the company is a forum for literary works considered outside the mainstream.

The company ultimately seeks to publish "edutainment" (i.e., literary works that are both educational and entertaining). In this endeavor, we will likely publish works offensive to certain people. And while we do not seek to offend any particular person or group of people, the company will not act as a censor. We neither accept nor reject any work because of its controversial or unpopular nature. Rather, we publish works we find to be well written and for which we believe an audience exists.
