ITEC ATTENDEES
TAKE NOTICE OF
DEAD END STREET PUBLICATIONS, LLC!
COMPANY PRESS RELEASE HOQUIAM, WA – June
25, 1998: Dead End Street Publications made its presence known
at the Seattle Information Technology Exposition & Conference,
held June 24th & 25th at the Washington State Convention & Trade
Center. Sponsored by Microsoft, the convention center was taken
over by ITEC attendees. Moving throughout the exposition area,
the Dead End Street Public Relations Team dispersed fliers and
answered questions about the company. "We are very pleased
with the positive response [to Dead End Street Publications informational
materials] by those attending the ITEC conference," said the
company’s Chief Executive Officer. "As the small kid
on the block, sometimes you’ve got to stand-up straight and
say, ‘Hey! Look at me. I’m doing good work over here.’ Our
recent promotional efforts have been generating a tremendous amount
of attention from the business and technology community. We are
grateful for the attention and believe our products deserve the
positive press they are receiving."
About the Company:
Dead End Street Publications (www.deadendstreet.com) is a multimedia
publishing firm founded in 1997. Based upon the fundamental precept
that more speech is preferable to less, the company is a forum
for literary works considered outside the mainstream. In this respect,
we welcome literary submissions of all types and genres.
The company ultimately seeks to publish "edutainment" (i.e.,
literary works that are both educational and entertaining). In
this endeavor, we will likely publish works offensive to certain
people. And while we do not seek to offend any particular person
or group of people, the company will not act as a censor. We neither
accept nor reject any work because of its controversial or unpopular
nature. Rather, we publish works we find to be well written and
for which we believe an audience exists.
We on the Dead End Street believe multimedia publishing will soon
become the standard of the industry. And we have positioned ourselves
to become the prototypical multimedia publishing firm of the 21st
century. Our products are exclusively available thorough 3.5" diskettes,
electronic mail and CD-ROMs. Publication in these formats offers
several distinct advantages over traditional bound volume publication.
First, our products are offered at less than one-half the price
of their bound volume counterparts. Second, Dead End Street products
can be easily moved and stored. A person’s entire library
can be kept on just a few CD-ROMs! Those piles of books that take-up
precious space and often become eyesores are a thing of the past.
Dead End Street Publications is certainly not the only publisher
of multimedia products. Most of the big houses are entering the
multimedia publishing market as well. But, they remain imitators
and duplicators. Dead End Street Publications is the original. |
